Who will win the coveted prize, a Hyundai i10 was the question on the
lips of students of the University of Calabar as the Cliqfest campus
train berthed in their school. For two days the University community was
agog as Cliqfest provided a beautiful blend of education &
entertainment (edutainment) sponsored by Nigeria’s innovative and youth
centric company, Etisalat.
The fun-filled campus tour had a life inspiring seminar anchored by motivational speaker, Niyi Adesanya who dished out success tips for life after school. Students were also treated to a football match, a music rap contest, dancing competition and a raffle draw where lots of exciting gifts such as phones and laptops were won.

The climax of the event was the emergence of
Violet Ukama, a 400 Level student of Soil Science as winner of the star prize,
a Hyundai i10 car. Speaking after receiving her car key, an overwhelmed Ukama
thanked Etisalat for the “unbelievable gift.” Her words: “I just finished my
exams yesterday and here I am winning a car today. It is unbelievable! I am so
excited I really don’t know what to say. A very big thank you to Etisalat for
giving me this opportunity.”
There was also a concert headlined by the winners
of season 4 and 5 of Etisalat-Sponsored Nigerian Idol, Evelle and K-Peace as
well as the respective runners up of both seasons, Idowu Odugbemi known as
Eye-D and Dolu.
The
Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. Eyong Ubana
was full of praises for Etisalat, “I am happy that a student has won this car,
we will encourage our students to subscribe more to the Etisalat brand and we
are hopeful that they will come again next year with more than one car to
present to two of my students.
Cliqfest has been to over 50
schools all over Nigeria since it was launched six years ago. It is an annual
nationwide youth-centric education and entertainment initiative sponsored by
Nigeria’s leading innovative telecommunications company, Etisalat. It features
